Four people were arrested in Denver on Sunday (August 23) for plotting to kill presidential candidate Barack Obama during his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention this week.
According to CBS4 Denver, the four people were arrested during a traffic stop on Sunday and were found with scoped rifles, handguns, camouflage clothing, a bulletproof vest, fake IDs and methamphetamine.
One of the suspects told investigators that they planned to shoot Obama "from a high vantage point using a rifle sighted at 750 yards" during his speech at Invesco Field at Mile High on Thursday (August 28).
Sources also told CBS4 that one of the suspects wore a swastika ring.
The Secret Service, FBI and other federal agencies are still doing further investigation and will hold a press conference on the incident today (August 26)
